Extra effort goes a long way

Do you think that people that make just a little more effort or push a little harder, really get significantly different results than others? I'm always amazed by my observations of when this happens. I don't know if you caught the Colt's game yesterday, but there was one touch down run by Marvin that really took just a leeettttle more effort to get over the goal line.
